I love my truck but i wish ford had fixed this problem by now.

I can not identify the driver side temp actuator fuse on my 2013 ford f 150 lariat. A ford f 150 s blend door is the device that controls how much heat or ac comes through the hvac system. 2011 f150 heat ac blend door is popping. Its been going on for a few days.

After removing the actuator it was determined that the blend door was stuck. And then reinstalling and answered by a verified ford mechanic. Luckily the repair is fairly straightforward requiring only a new blend door actuator and some minor disassembly of the dashboard. If the heater gets stuck on the hottest setting the heater blend door may be broken requiring replacement of the heater box to repair the issue.

The actuator controls air movement through the hvac ducts including what air flows through the heater core. I replaced the blend door actuator on my 2013 f150 fx2 and it is still clicking. A clicking sound from the dash area would commonly indicate an actuator fault.
